Raw vegan energy ball recipe!

balls 1

Hiya!

Popping in to share a recipe for some yummy healthy treats i’ve been enjoying which are dairy free, gluten free and vegan. It’s so easy to make snacks that are without the processed and refined ingredients, and much more fun too and come without a wretched sugar hangover! I’m a major fan of cacao, and it’s packed with antioxidants and so good for you- however if you’re planning these for an evening desert, avoid it as you might be bouncing around all night! Although they look like turkey stuffing (my roast dinner buddies in the house), these balls are great snacks which give your mind and body a wonderful boost of energy and nutrients. Try to find organic ingredients and have fun experimenting to your taste!

1 cup almonds raw balls
1 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup of sesame seeds
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup Baobab powder
2 heaped tablespoons of Barleygrass powder
2 tablespoons of cacao nibs
1 teaspoon of coconut flakes
1 teaspoon of  ground cinnamon
4 dates (modify as required)
1 teaspoon of fresh pressed pineapple juice (modify as required)

Throw the nuts, seeds and powder into a food processor and blend until sesame seed sized chunks. Then pit and add the dates and raisins, followed by juice in order to find the consistency for rolling balls (this doesn’t take much depending on the amount of dates you use). Roll the ingredients into balls (optional roll your balls in coconut flakes, ground cinnamon or raw cacao powder) and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Really easy, nutritious and tasty!

Enjoy x

  1. These look delish, Dionne! Been trying to get back on the “vegan wagon” for a while now and psyched to have a new snack-y recipe to try 🙂
