What a day it was! The Yoga Day Retreat at Troldhaugen was filled with wonderful people, music and atmosphere last Sunday. Musician Ketil Kinden Endresen created the most exquisite and synchronised soundscape using excerpts of Grieg´s compositions, which accompanied our two part yoga practice and journey. A tour with Annett gave us an intimate portrait of Edvard Grieg, a familiar name and icon in Norway and beyond, which gave us a deeper insight into his personality and philosophy, very special indeed. The amazing photographer Francesca Alviani came along to document and participate in the event, you can see more of her work here. Director of Troldhaugen also popped along and took some snaps, and despite finemann´s graft making music in the sessions, he still managed to create a film of the day, which you can see below!
We are very much looking forward to the next two Yoga Day Retreats as part of our Composers Series project, where we inhabit composers homes and combine yoga, music and art for a unique experience. The next location is Harald Sæverud´s home at Siljustøl on Sunday 30 March, just a few spaces left – we hope you will join us! For more information, click here.
