Wowzers! Just returned after a rousing, romping, sumptuous, exhilarating class with the Årstad gang and BOY were they pogang! I´m soaked to the bone as it´s been raining cats, dogs and cows all day. I mean really piddling it down. Incessant, schlepping downpours combined with gale-force (and frankly, rude) winds.

Can i just exclaim here that it´s June 1st?! My (ever) current challenge: the cheeky weather. It puts me in a bad mood. There, i said it. I battle each day when i rise to the pattering, splattering taunts of inclement lashings. Despite deep down I know scowling doesn´t make the situation any easier to swallow. So in order to survive, one has to season liberally with (inner) sunshine.

If i walk down the road in a grump because it´s wet, i´m only going to feel wetter and more grumpy. If i can smile at the absurdity of the weather and find the beauty in it (for example, i´ve never seen a greener landscape!), then i can only experience pleasure! Simple! Plus, when the sun (finally) arrives, i know i´ll REALLY appreciate it!

That said, we decided to velkommen summer to the yoga huset and  honour the soggy state of affairs. We wrung out the sopping wet raindrops and rinsed in a new perspective with rotating twists to detox our state. We created fires in our bellies and took flight in some seriously playful arm balances and turned initial doubts inside out. In short, we created space to change our ideas about things.

So enough pandering on about my seemingly British obsession and onto the cheese flavoured  juice. I´ve honoured the deliciously drenched environment with a rainy day playlist. Sadly i couldn´t work the system so i hung out a rotten carrot and couldn´t deliver. Sadface. So Årstads and others, this 90 minute musical journey delves into places one perhaps should ´t admit and i dedicate it to all your brilliance, come rain or shine! Happyface.
